Resources

A collection of resources that were very useful to us.

For to the one who pleases him God has given wisdom and knowledge and joy, but to the sinner he has given the business of gathering and collecting, only to give to one who pleases God. This also is vanity and a striving after wind.

Ecclesiastes 2:26

Whoever loves discipline loves knowledge, but he who hates reproof is stupid.

Proverb 12:1

Good documentary. It’s the starting point of our journey to be disciples of Jesus. There are two other movies that followed, but I keep going back to this one.

This was eye-opening. It was so revealing that I suddenly understood why I was struggling with sin and why I always felt that “church” was supposed to be more than sitting on a pew.

Now, this is a gem! This will give you a very solid foundation, even if you have been a “church member” for 30 years. These teachings will give you context without giving you a man-made interpretation. Highly recommended!

Some food for thought

Rebellion in God’s council. Spirits of dead giants. Rival gods creating chaos.

In the documentary The Unseen Realm, a light is cast on the strange and enigmatic plane of the supernatural that lies within the pages of Scripture. And what we discover are two distinct worlds—with vastly different inhabitants—created and ruled by one loving triune God.”

𝘐𝘴 𝘎𝘦𝘯𝘦𝘴𝘪𝘴 𝘏𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘰𝘳𝘺? features over a dozen scientists and scholars explaining how the world intersects with the history recorded in Genesis. From rock layers to fossils, from lions to stars, from the Bible to artifacts, this fascinating film will change the way you see the world. The film’s goal is to provide a reasonable case for Creation in six normal days, a real Adam and Eve, an actual fall, a global flood, and a tower of Babel.

Dr. Del Tackett, creator of 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘛𝘳𝘶𝘵𝘩 𝘗𝘳𝘰𝘫𝘦𝘤𝘵, serves as your guide—hiking through canyons, climbing up mountains, and diving below the sea—in an exploration of two competing views…one compelling truth.

Now, this one is interesting. It really shows that the world we live in is a doomed one. Please don’t forget the mission that was given to us: “But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.” Don’t put your trust in gold and silver, but instead work for the Kingdom.

I really enjoy what they do. It’s simple and light, but has good depth. The visuals help to understand some biblical concepts, some of which are outside the box.
