Heavy Heart
It’s been a year since we got rid of everything we owned – our house, our furniture, our car, our possessions, and more. We’re currently reflecting and evaluating our lives. We don’t want to brag, but we want to share how we feel and what we’ve been through. Leaving our old life behind was a difficult journey, but we strongly believe in living a life for the kingdom, and we can’t quit. Do we feel worthy? No. Often, we feel alone and misunderstood. We don’t always know what to do, and we’re unsure of what will happen next. Our family, friends, and many brothers and sisters in the faith don’t understand us, as most people are busy building their own kingdoms.
‘’In the same way, those of you who do not give up everything you have cannot be my disciples.’’ Luke 14:33.
We have counted the cost, and we will not give up. We want to serve and be servants of God. If it means we have to suffer, we will trust in Him and wait for Him. Do we make mistakes? Yes, a lot more than the average Christian, but we keep trying. We want to see lives transformed and God changing lives and hear His voice. That’s what motivates us.
God has been good to us. He has been patient and has always shown us to keep holding on. He gives us hope and finds ways to encourage us. We receive so much when we give to the world. Whether it’s a newborn coming to life or someone receiving proof of God’s existence. Are we evangelists? Not yet, but we try and keep trying. We’ve decided to willingly give our most precious possession, our time, to invest
‘’Abel brought the best portions of the firstborn of his flock. And the LORD looked with favor on Abel and his offering.’’ Genesis 4:4
This journey has also been one of great joy! Every baptism, healing, demon cast out, tear of joy and freedom, confession, divine encounter, uncomfortable situation, and miracle has been worth more than everything we ever had! Although this life has been the most difficult challenge we’ve ever faced, it’s all worth it. Witnessing God reaching out to the lost, seeing Jesus whispering to the hearts of stone, and changing lives makes it all worth it.
‘’Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few.’’ Luke 10:2
If you are longing for this life, want to see God heal, set free and touch people’s hearths but don’t know where or how to start,
Reach out!
